Portable Housing Choice Voucher

The West Palm Beach Housing Authority is currently accepting Portable Housing Choice Voucher families. The West Palm Beach Housing Authority is not absorbing port-ins at this time. We will accept port ins as long as the Initial Housing Authority will accept the billing.

Portable Housing Choice Voucher assistance is portable anywhere in the United States, including Guam, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Virgin Islands.

You will need to provide your current housing counselor with the following information:

You are responsible for contacting our agency after your current housing counselor has forwarded the appropriate documents to our agency.

Follow up with your housing counselor to determine when the documents were sent to us. Appointments will not be given until these documents have been received.

We make every effort to ensure that you are scheduled as soon as possible. Appointments are scheduled in the order in which they are received or when you plan to arrive in our area if we have an available appointment.

The Portability Counselor will be able to advise you what rent to look for once they have met with you and reviewed your family composition and income at your appointment.
